Disability Inclusion Action Plan - Community Survey

Introduction

We want the National Museum of Australia to be a workplace and Museum where everyone feels welcome and included.

We are developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) to help guide how we improve access and inclusion across the Museum.

This survey is for our community. We are keen to hear from everyone, particularly people with disability, d/Deaf people, neurodivergent people, families and carers, First Nations people with disability, visitors, audiences, educators, community organisations and other stakeholders and others who engage – or would like to engage – with the Museum.

You do not need to have visited the National Museum before to complete this survey.

Your feedback will help us understand what we are doing well, where people experience barriers, and what we should prioritise in the future.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers – we want to hear about your experiences and ideas.

Your responses are anonymous. Survey findings will be reported in a way that does not identify individual respondents.

If you need the survey in another format, or would prefer to provide feedback another way, please contact audience.research@nma.gov.au.

Please complete this survey by Tuesday 20 October 2026.

Thank you for helping us make the National Museum of Australia more accessible and inclusive.
