Calling all dairy, swine, and turkey farmers!
Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) is researching how farmers can most efficiently meet heating and cooling loads in their barns. Sharing your experience can help utilities find new ways to improve energy efficiency, develop rebate programs, and reduce energy costs for farmers like you. This project is supported in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources through the Conservation Applied Research and Development (CARD) program.
Please fill out the following form if you are interested in being contacted by CEE about participating in this important research. The interest form takes about 4 minutes to complete. Based on your responses, CEE may reach out to you about participating in an interview this winter. This would include a brief tour of your farm buildings, followed by a 45-60 minute interview conducted in-person at your farm by a member of our team. Questions will focus on understanding your farm’s heating and cooling needs and how you meet them.
To thank interviewees for their time, interviewed participants will receive a $400 gift card or 50% or more off the cost of a farm energy audit. The energy audit will assess your specific farm buildings and energy use, to identify free or cost-effective ways to reduce your energy use and costs.
Privacy Notice
We take your privacy seriously. The information you share through the form will be used only by members of the CEE project team to identify and contact potential study participants. It may also be provided to the state or legislative auditor upon court order. Filling out this form is voluntary. Any information you do or do not share will not affect any public services, permits, or assistance you may be receiving.
