ReGen Toolbox - Ranch Sustainability Metrics

TNC Grazing Lands Toolbox

The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) North America Grazing Lands Program supports ranchers in developing resilient and profitable operations. The purpose of this study is to validate and refine a set of indicators that are relevant and feasible for ranchers to collect and monitor, and that can support ranch management, reporting to agencies and market actors, and storytelling to consumers and the public. TNC will use the results of this study to build a grazing lands monitoring toolkit that can support ranchers and other actors in the supply chain in selecting planning and monitoring approaches that are efficient and impactful.

This survey is intended for ranch and rangeland owners, operators, and employees, and is focused on understanding current approaches and challenges to ranch planning and monitoring, as well as additional needs and approaches to monitoring that could improve long-term ranch viability. The results will be used to inform the development of the final TNC Toolbox as a resource for ranchers and other actors in the supply chain.

The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete. You are not required to answer any questions, and you can stop at any time. At the end of the survey, you can provide your contact information to be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card as a way to say thank you for your time.

Any questions about the survey or the research approach can be directed to Dr. Kristal Jones of JG Research and Evaluation (kristal@jgresearch.org), who is leading the research process. Any questions about TNC or the Toolbox can be directed to Nancy Labbe (nancy.labbe@tnc.org), Program Director for TNC’s North America Grazing Lands Strategy.

If you are at least 18 years of age and you agree to participate in the survey, please select ‘Next’ below to begin.
