At SEGD, we believe that design has the power to connect people to place. But to truly support our community and advocate for the value of our work, we need a clearer understanding of the realities behind it.
Across experiential design, there is currently no consistent, reliable benchmark for compensation, career pathways, or workplace conditions. That lack of visibility makes it difficult for individuals to advocate for themselves, for firms to benchmark fairly, and for our field to grow with clarity and equity.
This survey is completely anonymous. By participating, you are helping SEGD establish a baseline for compensation across our disciplines, identify gaps and opportunities in career growth and leadership, inform professional development and programming, and strengthen our ability to advocate for the value of experiential design.
This survey is the beginning of a resource built for our entire community and it only works if we hear from you. We know your time is valuable. The survey will take approximately 5 to 7 minutes to complete. Please complete the survey by June 15, 2026.
Results will be published in fall 2026 and shared exclusively with SEGD members. As a thank you for your participation, everyone who completes the survey will receive a discount on SEGD membership, whether new or renewal.
