About Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley
Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley responds to urgent health and safety needs of low-income, older adults and people with disabilities, living in their own homes, by addressing overdue critical repairs and accessibility modifications. On average, our clients have lived in their home for 25.5 years. Their average age is 74 years old with an annual income of $32,774. All of our clients classify as either "low-income," "very-low-income," or "extremely low-income," according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits.

Our region's demographics, as well as its housing policies, are in constant flux, with one constant being the extreme challenge for low-income homeowners to remain in their homes as the cost of living skyrockets. To make matters worse, COVID-19 has placed additional economic and social burdens on the most vulnerable populations living in Santa Clara County. Without surplus funds to cover home repairs needed during the pandemic, many of our older adults face a future of more extreme isolation in worsening safety conditions. As a result, homeowner applications continue to stream in. Our Client Coordinator will be a fundamental part of our collective ability to respond to and ultimately assist those homeowners.

Thanks again for your interest in serving with Rebuilding Together AmeriCorps and making a difference in the homes and lives of people in your community.  If you have any questions about the program or technical difficulties with the application, please email me at spatterson@rebuildingtogether.org.
