The information below provides additional instructions for submitting Research Campaign white papers to the National Academies. Instructions for submitting Topical white papers are available separately at http://s.alchemer.com/s3/Call-to-the-Biological-and-Physical-Sciences-Community-White-Papers-Topical.

Please complete all the fields below. You must complete this form for each white paper you submit to ensure that the paper will be considered by the survey committee and posted as part of the survey project. You may submit multiple white papers. Please note that all submitted white papers will be made public via the Biological and Physical Sciences Research in Space Survey website.

Your white paper submission will be posted publicly and may not include ITAR restricted data or other sensitive materials.

The effects of the spaceflight environment on biological and biophysical systems and processes. Relevant areas of knowledge may range from molecular biology to evolution. Environmental factors may range from altered gravity and radiation in deep space to dust exposure on planetary surfaces.
The effects of the spaceflight environment, including gravitational effects, on physical systems and processes. Examples of relevant areas include materials, combustion, fluid behavior, and fundamental physics.
Gravitational and other space environment effects on physical and biological processes involved in the functioning of space exploration technologies.

As a contributor of a white paper to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Committee for the Decadal Survey on Biological and Physical Sciences 2023 - 2032 (“White Paper”), I hereby grant a nonexclusive, no-cost, worldwide, transferable, irrevocable license authorizing NAS and others acting on their behalf to publish, use, duplicate, disclose, and display my White Paper. (Nonexclusive means that you may grant these same rights to other parties without violating this licensing agreement.)
