Vision Change Win (VCW)
Vision Change Win is proud to present an ongoing program tailored for organizations aiming to deepen their understanding of conflict transformation and continue developing the necessary skills to practice. VCW is a Black-led team of queer and trans people of color social justice consultants dedicated to helping organizations manifest their missions, visions, and values through practical solutions across policy advocacy, community organizing, art, culture, and direct services.

Program Overview:

  • 9 + hours of direct training on the root causes of conflict within organizations, focusing on creating accountable cultures and structures, 27 + hours of direct mediation training.
  • 2 practice labs with a trainer to further develop your skills.
  • One 60-minute coaching call with a trained practitioner for personalized support in addressing organizational conflict.
  • Conflict Transformation Toolkit to equip your organization with essential tools for conflict resolution.

Program Dates and Times:

The mediation training will occur on the following dates in August, with each session running from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM EST (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST):

  • Tuesday, August 13th
  • Wednesday, August 14th
  • Thursday, August 15th
  • Tuesday, August 20th
  • Wednesday, August 21st
  • Thursday, August 22nd

Practice Labs: Practice Labs are scheduled in September, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST (12:00 PM to 2:00 PM PST) on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, September 4th
  • Wednesday, September 18th

Training Opportunities:

To ensure a high-quality learning environment, the program offers limited spots. This approach guarantees that each participant receives personalized attention and ample practice opportunities from our trainers.

Eligibility and Application Process:

Organizations interested in participating should complete this 15-minute application. For organizations new to VCW programs, a brief introductory meeting may be arranged as part of the application review process.

Application Deadline:

Applications are open until May 31st, 2024, and will be reviewed as they are received.

Cost:

The program costs $4,000 for 3-4 members from each organization. Participation requires at least three members from each organization to effectively practice mediation.

Financial Assistance:

A limited number of solidarity scholarships are available, with priority given to BIPOC- and Queer-led organizations operating on budgets under $400,000, but any organization can apply for a scholarship. We don't want budget to be a barrier for movement groups to be able to attend this training. Flexible payment plans are also available.
